FormaSupra: Arkeolojinin İzleri, Dijitalin DNA'sı ve Formun Ötesi

Bir nesne ne zaman sadece bir obje olmaktan çıkar ve bir hikaye anlatıcısına, bir deneyim kapısına dönüşür? Günümüz tasarım dünyasında, teknoloji ve sanat arasındaki sınırlar giderek daha akışkan hale gelirken, bazı yaratıcılar bu kesişimde yepyeni ifade biçimleri arıyor. İşte İstanbul merkezli tasarım stüdyosu FormaSupra, tam da bu arayışın somut bir örneği. Sanatçı ikilisi Ahmet Rüstem Ekici ve Hakan Sorar'ın kurduğu bu "yaratıcı laboratuvar", geçmişin derinliklerinden aldığı ilhamı, günümüzün en yenilikçi teknolojileriyle birleştirerek bizi "Formun Ötesinde" bir düşünce yolculuğuna davet ediyor.

Peki, nedir bu "formun ötesi"? Belki de bilinen geometrilerin ve tanımların dışına çıkma cesareti, ya da bir nesnenin fiziksel varlığının ötesindeki anlamsal katmanları keşfetme arzusu. FormaSupra için bu, hem binlerce yıllık dünya kültürel mirasından, antik dönem yüzey kabartmalarında karşımıza çıkan o etkileyici çantalardan, çiçeklerden ve doğanın organik yapılarından beslenmek hem de bu köklü ilhamı dijital çağın araçlarıyla yeniden yorumlamak anlamına geliyor. Low Poly vs High Poly

Bu kadim formlar, FormaSupra'nın dijital atölyesinde nasıl bir yolculuğa çıkıyor? Burada sahneye dijital dünyanın temel yapı taşı olan poligon giriyor. Basitçe ifade etmek gerekirse, her 3 boyutlu dijital nesnenin yüzeyini oluşturan o küçük, düz geometrik şekillerdir (genellikle üçgenler veya dörtgenler) poligonlar. Onlar, dijital maddenin adeta görünmez atomları, bir formun dijital DNA'sıdır. Bir zamanlar video oyunlarının o ikonik, köşeli 'low-poly' estetiğini hatırlarsınız; az sayıda poligondan oluşan bu dünyalar, teknolojinin ilk adımlarıydı. Günümüzde ise milyonlarca poligondan oluşan, neredeyse gerçekle ayırt edilemeyen 'high-poly' deneyimlere ulaştık. FormaSupra için bu spektrum, bir oyun alanı. Belki de bazen, dijitalin özünü yansıtan o yalın poligonal yapıyı cesurca sergileyerek, bazen de sayısız poligonu bir araya getirerek karmaşık, organik görünen yüzeyler yaratarak bu 'dijital kil' ile oynuyorlar. Acaba bir formun dijital köklerini görmek, onunla kurduğumuz bağı nasıl değiştirir?

Dijital Zanaatkarlık: Kodlardan Doğan Heykeller

Teknoloji, zanaatkarlığın sonu mu, yoksa onun evrimleştiği yeni bir mecra mı? FormaSupra bu soruya ikinci seçenekle güçlü bir yanıt veriyor. Özgünlük, Deneyim ve Kolektif Bilinç

Her bir FormaSupra tasarımı, Ahmet Rüstem Ekici ve Hakan Sorar'ın sanatsal vizyonuyla şekilleniyor ve 100 edisyonla sınırlı olarak sunuluyor. QR kod ile kimliklenen her parça, kendi özgün hikayesini ve kavramsal derinliğini taşıyor. Bu, sadece bir sahiplik belgesi değil, aynı zamanda eserin şeffaf üretim sürecine ve arkasındaki düşünceye bir kapı aralıyor. Artırılmış Gerçeklik (AR) teknolojisi ise bu deneyimi bir adım öteye taşıyarak, fiziksel nesneye dijital bir ruh katıyor, onu interaktif bir anlatıya dönüştürüyor.

FormaSupra: Echoes of Archaeology, DNA of the Digital, and Beyond Form

When does an object cease to be merely an object and transform into a storyteller, a gateway to experience? In today's design world, as the boundaries between technology and art become increasingly fluid, some creators are seeking entirely new forms of expression at this intersection. Istanbul-based design studio FormaSupra is a tangible example of this pursuit. How do these ancient forms embark on a journey in FormaSupra's digital workshop? Here, the polygon, the fundamental building block of the digital world, takes the stage. Simply put, polygons are those small, flat geometric shapes (usually triangles or quadrilaterals) that make up the surface of every 3D digital object. They are, in a sense, the invisible atoms of digital matter, the digital DNA of a form. You might recall the iconic, angular 'low-poly' aesthetic of early video games; these worlds, composed of few polygons, were the first steps of technology. Today, we have reached 'high-poly' experiences made of millions of polygons, almost indistinguishable from reality. For FormaSupra, this spectrum is a playground.
